OPEL Gearbox / Transmission Repair with Warranty

Check if your opel shows one or more common signs of transmission issues:

• Jerks when shifting (Easytronic) — in the Easytronic “robot” (Astra H, Corsa), light jerks are often felt when upshifting. With sudden throttle, the gearbox may “stumble” (hesitate) during gear change.
• “F” light and car won’t move (Easytronic) — when the clutch actuator fails, the Easytronic gearbox shows the letter “F” on the dashboard and the car refuses to move. This is a typical Easytronic failure: the system blocks movement when the clutch unit breaks down.
• Oil leaks from the pan (6T30/6T40) — in Opel 6-speed automatics (Astra J, Zafira, Insignia), gaskets and seals wear out, causing ATF leaks. Low fluid level leads to overheating, jolts, slipping, and vibrations under load.
• Delay when engaging D/R — when shifting the selector into “D” or “R”, a small pause and jolt may occur before the car moves. Often caused by low oil pressure or faulty signals from sensors (e.g. selector or valve body). The car “hesitates” and jerks before moving.
• Overheating and vibration — in heavy traffic or towing, the transmission may overheat. Lack of fresh fluid causes severe overheating, leading to humming, vibration, and jolts when shifting. “Check” light often appears, and the gearbox goes into limp mode until it cools down.
