Infiniti FX35/QX50 (CVT JF010E) — characteristic “judder” and jolts during acceleration due to steel belt wear. The CVT may also produce humming/whining (bad bearings) and overheat — after long highway driving, a strong burning smell appears, followed by limp mode.
Infiniti FX35/QX70 (automatic Jatco RE5R05A/6F21) — jerks when shifting and transition to limp mode. The gearbox shudders while driving, especially when braking or starting, with body vibration and frequent AT fault lights.
