HONDA Gearbox / Transmission Repair with Warranty

Check if your honda shows one or more common signs of transmission issues:

• Jerks and slipping (CVT) — in Honda CVTs (Civic, CR-V, Accord), short jerks or power drops may be felt during acceleration. Often the car hesitates at start, then accelerates smoothly. These CVTs are prone to overheating: with delayed cold start or old fluid, noises and jolts may appear, and under heavy load — overheating and oil leaks.
• Gears not engaging (i-Shift) — in i-Shift robotic gearboxes (e.g. older Civic/Accord), the display may show “0” or “—” instead of “D/R”, and gears won’t engage. This is usually due to low or dirty oil, selector sensor faults, or ECU failure. Diagnostics are required — most often it’s the sensor or control module stuck.
• Delay and slipping (5AT/6AT) — in Honda 5- and 6-speed automatics (Accord, CR-V, etc.), RPM drops or slipping are common when shifting to “D” or during acceleration. The automatic may slip before engaging. Seals often leak, causing ATF loss. With low fluid, overheating and RPM drops occur, sometimes triggering Check Engine errors.
• Overheating and vibration — with overdue ATF changes or leaks, the transmission overheats. Hot oil causes vibration, jolts when shifting, and poor acceleration. Often accompanied by a burning smell and even engine cooling issues due to extra load.
• ECU failure — gearbox control module failure triggers Check Engine and limp mode. In severe cases, gears may be limited to lower ranges or disabled entirely until repaired.
